Analisis Performa Pertumbuhan, Reproduksi dan Produksi Susu Kambing Anglo Nubian

Abstract

Introduksi kambing Anglo Nubian pada daerah tropis bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi susu kambing lokal melalui persilangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pertumbuhan, reproduksi, produksi dan kualitas susu kambing Anglo Nubian. Penelitian dilakukan di Balai Penelitian Ternak. Penelitian menggunakan 49 catatan anak dan 36 induk AN yang beranak dan berproduksi selama 3 tahun pada paritas 1-3. Data dianalisa menggunakan model linear umum. Parameter meliputi berat badan, produksi susu dan reproduksi induk. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rataan berat lahir 3,52 kg, berat sapih 13,02 kg, pertumbuhan pra-sapih 102,20 g/hari, berat umur 6 bulan 19,76 kg, berat umur 9 bulan 26,15 kg, berat kawin 36,85, berat beranak 39,63 kg dipengaruhi oleh litter size, sex dan paritas (P<0,01). Rataan littersize 1,48, lama kebuntingan 151,76 hari, NSC 1,04 dipengaruhi oleh paritas (P<0,01). Umur berahi pertama 228,57 hari, jarak beranak 232,85 hari, umur pertama beranak 485,71 hari. Total produksi susu 210,11 liter dan puncak produksi 1,79 liter dan lama laktasi 160,75 hari. Kambing betina Anglo Nubian menampilkan kemampuan produktivitas cukup baik yang dapat digunakan sebagai rekomendasi dalam pengembangan Kambing Anglo Nubian di Indonesia.
